Peggy Sue

Cancer Survivor

Hi, my name is Peggy Sue Roberts. I live in Yucca Valley, California, which is Southern California, with my husband, Jim, of 42 years. And, in March 2010, I will be a three-year cancer survivor.

Peggy Sue 12-13-2009 My story, "Peggy Sue" Roberts, starts here:

Let me tell you, I laughed as I listened to a sweet looking grandpa-type standing in the grocery line speaking with a little girl, about age 5, and as cute as a button.

Did You Keep The Name Your Parents Gave You?

In their conversation, the grandpa asked her name. Her mom gave her permission, and she beamed as she answered, “Alicia.” “Wow,” the grandpa answered, “I like that name. Did you pick that name out yourself, Alicia, or did you just keep whatever name your mom and dad gave you?”

Alicia seemed to give the question some deep thought, and then answered in a very proud manner, “I picked it out myself!”

With that thought in mind, I can tell you my brother, Paul, in 1948 picked my name Peggy Sue. It seems he really liked the name, Peggy Sue, and he suggested my mom and dad give me that name. They did, and “I just kept the name my parents gave me.”

Song - Peggy Sue

The Rock-&-Roll song, “Peggy Sue” later became popular in July, 1957. I’m asked all the time where I’m from. What the person asking really wants to know is where my accent if from. I tell them I was born and raised in Northwest Mississippi. My parents had four children, one son and 3 girls. I am the youngest.

Loving Chritian Parents

My parents were loving Christians, and I had a good childhood growing up in a very small farming town. Mom and dad had one of the two grocery stores in town. I enjoyed helping mom and dad in the store as I grew up, and learned to work with the public early in life.

marriage Peggy Sue Got Married

My husband, Jim, and I met when I was about 15 years old. We dated several years, and "Peggy Sue got married" after I graduated high school.

Daddy's Baby Girl

Jim was in the military when we married, and my mom was not happy at all with Jim taking mom's baby girl away to North Carolina.

Jim was a Christian when we married, and I became a Christian a few years later, around the age of 24. We both have enjoyed our Christian families in the many places we have lived around the county and in Okinawa, Japan when we were there 3 years in the late 1970’s.

Military Bases Around The World

When orders came to move, Jim would come home and say, "Peggy Sue, we've got moving orders again." The military moved us around every 3 to 4 years as Jim was promoted. We have two sons who grew up on or around military bases around the world. I was able to stay at home for most of the boy’s younger years, and worked during their later school years.

Settling In Southern California

We settled down in Southern California after Jim’s military years, mostly because our oldest son has asthma, and the climate here is good for him. Our boys finished school and, I attended a trade school for computer input.

That was during the mid-1980’s when computers were first becoming popular. Computers then were big, bulky, and the dot matrix printers were so noisy I wore ear protection.

Valuable Computer Skills

My computer skills were very valuable as Jim began a new career in individual and group life and health insurance.

Jim eventually grew the business to a very large agency with over 80 productive agents.

At our largest, I ran the office staff of 7 employees.

Southern California Girls

Our boys married Southern Californian girls, so "Peggy Sue" became a Californian for sure at that point, because the grandsons came next. Each of our boys has two boys. No girls in the bunch except for our daughter-in-laws.

My World Changed!

I was like many others, living my life, enjoying my family, not ever thinking I could ever get cancer. Then one morning my world changed.

Life Is A Vapor

Like the Bible says, “Life is a vapor.” I was 58 years old when I received my diagnosis. My symptoms had started within the previous six to nine months before a huge swelling just poped up on my neck one morning.

Peggy Sue Got Cancer

So, along with "Peggy Sue Got Married," you could now say, "Peggy Sue Got Cancer."

Peggy Sue Roberts, December 2009, at age 61 But...Peggy Sue ALSO, conquered cancer!

I beat cancer through Natural, Alternative Cancer Treatments at a special clinic.

When I learned I had terminal cancer and given 3-months to live in January 2007, I first elected to take chemotherapy.

That was a BAD decision!

The second of six double-bagged rounds of chemotherapy almost killed me.

That was the catalyst that sent me in search of a clinic that offered Natural, Non-Invasive Treatments.

To receive the name, and all the contact information of the clinic, go to my Cancer Survivor page and complete the "Clinic Name Request Form" near the bottom of the page. Go to the clinic; you'll be so happy you did!

After only two weeks of natural, non-invasive treatments at the special clinic, I was pronounced cancer-free at my next PET-scan!

That was over three-years ago. I have full faith that you can become the next cancer survivor by going to the clinic. Take your opportunity now and have a Free Confidential Medical Evaluation, to discover if you are a good candidate for Alternative Cancer Treatments.

You Can Beat Cancer Too, If You Have The Will To Live

You are probably reading this because you, or someone you love, have cancer. For that, I want to give you some encouragement: My deepest belief is that you can beat cancer if you have enough time, the right mindset, and the right intervention. I am living proof.

Be A Cancer Survivor

There have been many cancer survivors before me, and I am sure there will be many after me. My deepest desire is for you to be one of them.

Rid Yourself Of Any Type Of Cancer

I am now convinced that if anyone has the will to live and enough time (no matter the type of cancer, no matter how long you have had it) you can rid yourself of any type of cancer...

Time To Kill Cancer

My conventional treatments with chemotherapy almost cost me my life. I knew there had to be a better way, if only I had enough time. Oncology gave me as short as three months to live in January 2007. I have now come almost three years from that time, and I’m still here, cancer-free!!

Paying Attention To Our Health...and...Make Appropriate Changes

It's never too late to start making healthy choices and living a healthy life full of vitality or start doing some prevention.

Been Diagnosed With Cancer?

Unfortunately, things don’t fully hit us until either we or someone extremely close to us, are diagnosed with some dreadful disease and become a cancer patient.

Woman thinking I encourage you with all my heart; don’t let cancer become the end of your world.

You have choices. The Alternative Cancer Treatments are affordable at the clinic where I went.

You've got a family and people who love and depend on you.

What to Write on a Card to Someone Who Has Cancer:

First, be yourself. Above everything else, tell them you love them and you are earnestly praying for their complete recovery to perfect health (if indeed, you are).

Encourage them to stay strong and see themselves as a whole, healthy person. Suggest they visit this site, go to Cancer Survivor page, and complete the Clinic Name Request Form; then, go to the clinic.

Thank you for visiting my website and my page.

I wish you and your family the best of health and happiness.
